xFi gateway restarts at 3am/4am every night

My xFi gateway will restart (or at least, lose connection) every night at exactly 3am and 4am. The connection always comes back, and this behavior is not seen for the rest of the day. Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening?

Hello, @jtcaintx. I appreciate you making us aware of your internet service concern via Forums. This daily reboot is a scheduled event for maintenance purposes. There's nothing to worry about unless it takes longer than a usual system reboot should last. How's your internet service working throughout the day?

@XfinityRaul​ My modem will reboot multiple times (at least 2 or 3). Is this expected? Also, Is there a way to modify this behavior, or maybe select a different time?

@jtcaintx The scheduled reboot should only be once a day. If you're noticing this happens 2-3 throughout the day, we should definitely investigate this. If these multiple reboots are happening around the same time, then it's part of the maintenance update. We don't have a way to set a specific time for these reboots but hopefully, we make this option available in the near future.

 

How's your internet service working out for you the rest of the day? Are you noticing any service interruptions later in the day?
