Xfi gateway has trouble handling work servers

My wife and I can’t access work servers when working from home.  Restarting the gateway solves the issue till say our workstations go to sleep or we go out and come back. Normal internet works but o365/teams/sharepoint etc doesn’t work. This was never an issue till recently when we upgraded our speed (don’t think they are related). Help please!

Good afternoon @user_obqwn6, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums with your issues accessing your work servers when working from home. As someone who works from home as I well, I understand how frustrating this must be. I see that you stated restarting the gateway helps but only until your work stations go to sleep and you come back. To confirm, are you connecting through a VPN? When you are not working, do you have any issues connecting to any other personal devices such as your phones, or any smart TVs or gaming consoles?

No, I don’t need VPN as long as I don’t access specific internal sites. We have Microsoft’s global secure access client so normal teams/emails don’t need vpn access.

my wife works in a different company but needs vpn to connect for everything. They have the secure access client installed as well.

everything else works, browsing the internet on the work laptop works but Microsoft servers are blocked

Thank you for letting us know that your wife uses VPN but you don't and that everything else works @user_obqwn6, I appreciate it. To confirm, are you using a personal router in addition to your gateway to connect? Are you also hardwired or using WiFi?

No, we have a mesh but it’s in bridge mode. Routing is only via xfi gateway. We use WiFi on both workstations at the moment as I don’t have a Ethernet point near my desk

Thank you so much for clarifying! When going to these specific Microsoft sites and applications, what error messages or coding are you seeing?
