xFi Complete xFi PODS

So I got xFi complete at gig speed today. Awesome. Then I connected it to the only available Xfinity cable spot. Activated the modem. Walked around the 4000 SQ ft house and about 1/3 of the house doesn't have a signal.

I called and they said they will start the wifi assessment which will take 14 days. What am I supposed to do till then?

I tried to connect my old wifi extender TP-Link 6400 but it refuses to connect to the xfi modem.

I am so frustrated cause I've tried to call, waited on the phone 45 minutes each time and got disconnected twice. The last agent said, go buy a new router and then return it within 30 days.

Seriously how is this xFi complete? It's xFi Incomplete.
