xFI CGM4981COM version 2.0 - gateway port forwarding and dmz does not work from app

Xfinity's decision to move the port fwd and dmz config to the app from the router interface is an inexplicable disaster.
PUT IT BACK in the web interface because the app simply put [Edited: "Language/Inflammatory"] never can configure it on the x8. Most of the time  trying to setup port fwd it gives you the famous "were having trouble message... and once in a while when the port fwd dialog does pop up (not frequently)  - you can set it up the device fwd all you want with the respective ports all you want, but it never returns a completion, just a try again error...
this is unacceptable - I have devices on the home network that I need to access remotely. 

Don't bother doing a router factory reset or a regular reset because that's been tried unsuccessfully. numerous times.
Don't bother turning Enhanced security on or off because it also doesn't make a difference 
Please FIX the router Firmware or I will have no choice but be looking for a different provider.
I have a CGM4981COM version 2.0 gateway.

Hello, @mariob07 Thank You for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support, here on the Community Forum. I am not aware of any intentions of returning these tools to the web interface. This article is the information that I have for configuring DMZ - https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/configure-dmz-wifi

You do have the option of using a Wireless Gateway 1, 2 or 3 to be able to use the Admin Tool to adjust these settings, as well.
