XF1 Gateway keeps disconnecting all throughout the day

I just upgraded to the new xfinity gateway and it keeps dropping all day long and will not come up until I restart through the app.

Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, for a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
