XB8 stops broadcasting 5Ghz and 6Ghz

I’ve split the networks to broadcast different SSIDs for each band (one for 2.4, 5, and 6 Ghz) on the XB8 but once in awhile after a few hours only the 2.4 SSID is appearing.  Rebooting the gateway doesn’t restore this.

Does the XB8 reflect that the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands are enabled on the gateway?

@jweaver0312​ Yes.  I checked and all are enabled but only the one SSID is broadcasting.  Its almost like it combined the SSID into the same name as the 2.4Ghz one without me changing the settings.

@jweaver0312​ Yeah, the Gateway > At a glance page shows the 2.4Ghz one listed and nothing else.  The Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi page shows all 3 separate bands are enabled.  I have done a factory reset and re-did the split SSID and it lasted for less than 24 hours before it stopped broadcasting again.

@jweaver0312 I’ve been using the app to separate the SSIDs (don’t have much control on the web interface anymore).

The usual scenario is the following:

  1. Go to the Xfinity app to separate the SSIDs into 3
  2. Go to the web interface of the gateway to verify the changes are set

After verifying the settings are correct, it would go on to work for about a day and then I’ll only see one SSID being broadcasted.

If you know of a way to separate the SSIDs using the gateway web interface please let me know and I can try that instead.

Same issue here. Has happened a number of times and was able to resolve by power cycling … not today however.

So far, the XB8 is a huge bust.
