Xb8 speed slow

I pay for 1200 gb/sec and only get 950. I tested speed coming into the gateway at 1300. I connect directly from modem to my computer with Ethernet cable. I have reset modem several times. I checked for tight connection on cables. Any idea

Does the computer have a 2.5 Gbps or higher speed port? Are you connecting to the 2.5 Gbps port on the XB8? 1 Gbps Ethernet ports will result in 940 Mbps or so.
