XB8 and WPA3
This is a recent issue for me, so I'm guessing an update caused my problem. I have the XB8 gateway and an ethernet connected access point where the gateway signal is weak. SSID and passwords are the same for both so you can move throughout the house and auto connect to the strongest signal. It has worked fine for a long time. Recently, some devices were having connection issues and would not connect. When I look at my network on my phone, I now see two networks of the same name. Looking further, I found that the XB8 security is set to WPA3 while my access point is WPA2, causing the two networks to show. The XB8 will not allow me to change it back to WPA2. The problem is, I have devices that do not support WPA3. Why am I not allowed to change this setting? Does Comcast not realize that there are devices that do not work with WPA3? My home network is a mess right now because of this one setting.
**Edit** I found it. I used to be able to change it in the admin page when logged in to the gateway. All options are greyed out now. I found the settings in the app, under WiFi, I clicked 'wifi details' and a pop up comes up with QR code on it. I finally noticed 'edit wifi settings' at the bottom of that pop up.

I can change it on my xb8, you might have to use the app, if your admin panel options are grayed out….
