XB8 2.5 gig ports

Does the xb8 still only have 1 2.5 gig Ethernet port? If I put it in bridge mode does it default to the 2.5 gig port?

Thanks for your interest in the supersonic XB8 modem. This is our list of modem specifications https://comca.st/3PO6tfy. It shows 4 Gigabit Ethernet Ports but does not specify if one of them is a 2.5 Gig port.

@XfinityMichelle​ on the box for the XB8 it clearly states the there are 3 x1 Gbps and one 2.5 Gbps port on the device. Is their firmware or a boot file that enables the 2.5G Gbps speed on the XB8? Otherwise I am paying for speed that my device will never be able to offer… This almost as shady as using the words up to in your SOA. This a real problem and it needs to be addressed.

@EG​ that says the previous version only had two 1 gig ports which is also not true.

It's too bad Comcast is so secretive with their hardware it's impossible to know the actual specs. I didn't even know it had a USB C port until I got it because that's not documented anywhere and I'm not sure if it's for network storage or what. I don't even see a way to update the firmware.

Yep. My bad, sorry. The fact that the XB8 has a 2.5 port is true anyway !

Nope. An end user can't update the firmware manually. They are responsible for keeping the firmware updated through their backend access to the device.

And AFAIK. The port with the red colored stripe next to it is the 2.5 gig port.
