XB7 WiFi Channel

I can no longer change my WiFi Channel on my XB7. The app says it is being managed automatically. When I login to the Admin in the gateway I am blocked out from editing.

I am upset because I know how to manage these settings and they are required making sure my WiFi network is being channeled correctly.

How to I re-enable this feature?

@andyross Your brilliant observation doesn't address everyone's issues. Any chance you have something better to do than troll message boards?

Comcast has stupidified the interface and options for their gateways. I guess they find too many people mess around and cause problems that then end up costing Comcast money for support to fix. There is no way to do it yourself anymore.

@andyross If you are able to access the main admin panel then you should be able to adjust the settings.

What is funny, if it says they are automatic, but I can see they are still set to what I manually set them to. So Xfinity never reset it to Automatic. They just locked it out.

I agree and would like to do the same. I have a separate router in my basement on 5g exclusively for my wife's business and an access point on the upper floor with 5g for the bedrooms. My XB7 is on the main floor with 5g turned off so not to interfere but 2.4 is on. In our wifi congested area (partly because of hotspots all defaulted on by Xfinity) my XB7 has locked it's 2.4 wifi to compete against the most powerful signals on the most congested channel! How is this helping me or anyone else? Let me change the channel please! This is wrong.
