XB7 MOCA as a mesh backbone

What XB7 parameters have to be changed to turn XB7 MOCA into a mesh backbone?

Configuration:
     XB7 LAN1 ----- Router WAN
     XB7 LAN 3 ---- Deco LAN [MOCA]

MOCA Adapter LAN ----- Deco LAN [far end of house]

Deco App's list of offline clients includes APS1-xxxxx, which I assume to be the XB7 MOCA
Deco App's list of online clients includes Ethernet APS1-yyyyy (ID'd as "network 3" when MOCA Adapter ethernet connected to a PC)

10.0.0.1 Connected Devices/Devices
     decoMesh       DHCP                Ethernet
     APS1-xxxxx     Reserved IP         MOCA
Portable PC    DHCP                MOCA [presumably APS1yyyyy]

Edit APS1-xxxxx
     Configuration: Reserved IP
     Reserved IP address 10.0.0.36
Untick Reserved IP and tick DHCP / Save
     Reverts to Reserved IP

Is the configuration wrong?

Is there a 10.0.0.1 parameter that needs to be set?

@johport To confirm are you wanting to use a mesh system with the XB7 in bridge mode, or are you trying to use a mesh system with the XB7 also providing WiFi signal?
