XB7 gateway options to reduce latency
Starting a new job working remotely from home and corporate IT is having me run a bufferbloat test via a website to test the latency through our Xfinity provided gateway (XB7 model). The test is not meeting their standard for latency, although speed tests are fine.
Are there options to implement SQM (Smart Queue Management) on the XB7? Is SQM the same as AQM (Active Queue Management)? I've gone into the admin portal for the gateway and I don't see any advanced settings related to these options.
Does the XB8 gateway have more options?
Thanks all!

Hey there, @MNBgfd17! Thanks for creating a post about your (and your company's) concerns with latency. Our team is here to help however we can! According to a quick online search, SQM is an integrated network system that performs better per-packet/per flow network scheduling, active queue length management (AQM), traffic shaping/rate limiting, and QoS (prioritization), while “classic” AQM manages queue lengths only.
May I ask what other troubleshooting you've tried so far to improve latency? Please feel free to refer to these Internet Troubleshooting Tips for more information.

FWIW. The Comcast rented gateway devices do not have any traffic shaping / QoS features.
