XB3/model 3941 router - CHANGING Wireless network mode

I need to switch the mode for the 2.4 Ghz band to b/g/n. The mode is currently 802.11 g/n. The option to change the mode is grayed out on the Gateway. Some please tell me how to accomplish this. XB3/model 3941 router.
