XB10

I only see a Reset button on my XB10.  I need to access the WPS function. How can I do this?

It's a dual-purpose button. Depending on how long it is held in, it can be either a WPS button or a factory reset button. Short pushes (2-3 seconds) result in the WPS function. Longer presses (25-30 seconds) result in a hard reset to factory defaults.

user_na880a, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out. I can understand the importance of needing access to the WPS function. You've come to the right team over social media. We can help. To access the WPS function on your XB10, look for the WPS button, which may be located on the rear or side of the device. If you don't see a dedicated WPS button, you might need to use the Admin Tool to enable WPS. Connect to the gateway using a device, go to the Admin Tool at this address: (http://10.0.0.1), log in with the username "admin" and the password from the gateway sticker, then navigate to Gateway > Connection > WiFi to enable WPS. Please let us know if this helps.

I also have an XB10 router and am looking to put WPS into pairing mode. Pressing the reset button for 1-3 seconds does not do anything. There is also no selection in the management console (i.e. 10.0.0.1 -> Gateway -> Connection -> WiFi) to enable WPS. How do I enable WPS pairing?

You may have to enable Admin Tool access first;

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access

Open the Xfinity App. (You'll need a working connection for this step).

Go to the WiFi tab.

Select View WiFi equipment and open Advanced Settings.

Select Admin Tool online access.

Slide the toggle button to Allow Admin Tool access (ON).

Select Save.
