xb10 will it have a 10GB port

Will the new XB10 have a 10GB port on it.  If it is to support multi-Gig internet then a 10GB port would be needed to achieve the speeds for multi-Gig even the Gig plus plan would definite from a multi-Gig or 10GB port.  My home router the Orbi 970 has a 10GB port for internet and the internal network.

Check here for the official info on the XB10. Looks like it has at least 1 10Gbe port.

it states that the Maximum data throughput: 10 Gbps but does not state if the ports are 10GB.  That could just be to the gateway from xfinity.

Yea that is not good, for Multi-GiG service you have a 2GB service but can only utilize 1 GB cause of the max the port can support.  It definitely should have a multi-GIG port to utilize the speeds your given.  If not having a 2GB service your throwing away a GB cause your bottle-necked.  Something that they should have put on the xb10

Yup. I really can't understand their decision for their latest and greatest gateway device having only gigabit ethernet ports...... I guess that they are banking on the WiFi 7 to be able to deliver some level of multi-gig speeds, and that many, if not most customers, will use only the WiFi anyway..... [[[[ shrugs shoulders ]]]].

Even if servers across the open internet can't deliver multi-gig speeds, it would be nice to know that you could get multi-gig inter LAN transfers via wired ports with the XB10....

True true, and for those that don't trust the firewalls on the internet gateways that have a router in-front of your network.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding. The XB10 has two 10Gbe ports and two 1Gbe ports.

If you’re running your own router, you only need one of those 10Gbe ports, and a router capable of 10Gbe.

While I agree it is disappointing that not all four ports are 10Gbe, and yes, that’s inexcusable, there are still two 10Gbe ports available.

Hmmm.. Ok. I'm open to being corrected !! Accuracy on a tech help forum is paramount !! Would you, (or any readers here), please provide documentation and or pics, or back panel pics to corroborate the availability of 10 gig ports on the XB10. I've researched high and low and everything that I've found so far says "four gigabit ports". Thank you very much !!

@EG Thank you for all you do here! I wish I could get my hands on an XB10, lol.

Although the official Xfinity page could use some attention to detail, there is a chart in there. There’s so little officially available info out there, and so few folks in these forums actually have one, it’s tough to come by accurate information.

OK, thank you. They appear to be authoring incorrect, incomplete, and conflicting information. Nothing new there..... They've been doing that forever...... The first link you posted stated this: "Gb Ethernet ports = 4". And your tone seemed so certain going only by that statement, if you know what I mean. And the Link that I posted mentions four gig ports and nothing about 10 gigabit ports......

Oh well... Perhaps one day they will get their act together..... 🙄

@EG There was a screenshot on that comment as well. Looks like the filters took it out. Don’t know why it wouldn’t accept it. Sorry about that.

Scroll down most of the way on the link I sent. There’s a chart with details for each modem. The line for the XB10 shows it has

(2) 10 Gbps

(2) 1 Gbps

Here’s attempt number two to post the screenshot.

Hmmm.. I reviewed that post's system activity history log, and there is no indication of the forum bot deleting or privatizing anything. Whereas, your latest post with the screenshot was indeed privatized by the bot, which I just made publicly viewable again. Go figure....
