X Class Service

Xfinity has been working on enhancing our local service these past two weeks.  Not sure if that will mean we qualify for X class service.  How can I find out if we qualify.  My thought is that Metro net is laying fiber in my neighorhood so Xfinity will offer X class to compete.  Wondering if I should switch anyway?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Good morning rjboblee! Thanks so much for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums. I love hearing that your area has had some major updates, and I'm sure we are working toward faster speeds for your area. Many areas are eligible for the 2 GB speeds, but for our X-class / FDX speeds the area would need to be updated to Docsis 4.0. When those updates are completed in an area, you should be able to see the available services online. If you visit the website and enter your service address are you showing the 2 Gbps plan?
