X class internet and Docsis 4.0 with XB10

I noticed they have been doing work on the street. They put a new amplifier and nodes in my housing development and then put spooled more fiber up on 2 telephone poles on the entrances in our neighborhood last month. Last week a contractor was putting the fiber into the nodes. Does that mean we are getting X-class internet soon? This is in Buckley WA in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Hi there, @kam518 Thank you for taking the time to reach out regarding the work that is being performed on your street! The X-Class service is fantastic, I have it where I live and it makes a world of difference. Xfinity will notify you via email, text message, and through updates in the Xfinity App as soon as network construction in your neighborhood is complete and X-Class speeds become available.

I have never received anything from Comcast when they are doing construction, just planned outage for routine maintenance. So far Comcast is a year and a half behind from what they told me when X class internet would be available.

I understand, @kam518 the time that was provided was just an estimate, there are a lot of factors that can delay your area being upgraded. I would recommend just keeping an eye out for any emails and or texts that will let you know when the upgrade begins.
