WPA3
This morning I noticed the "Weak Security" alert on my iPhone (ios 14.1). I spent some time reading articles and threads in this community, and I've tried many of the fixes I found. I've used the xFinity app to try changing my security settings, but WPA2 was the best I could find. I also restarted my router with the app, but nothing has changed.
Lemme guess: My ARRIS TG 1682G router won't support WPA3 ... hm-m-m? If that's the case, can I take my router to my local Comcast office and swap it for a newer one--one that supports WPA3 and that looks like the router they show in current xFinity advertising?

You need to force AES instead of AES/TKIP. WPA2 AES is still OK.

Today I swapped out my old access point for a new one. The new one looks exactly like the old one, but—for what it's worth—I can report that the "weak security" warning is gone.
So the message is, if the weak security warning bothers you, get a new access point. It costs nothing more than the time to fetch the new one and install it.
Funny thing, though: No one from Infinity seemed to know how to fix this little problem (if it's even a bona fide problem). The people I spoke with at the Infinity store today didn't know, and they couldn't find anything on their system either. One employee said the problem wasn't a problem at all, given the safeguards they've built into their systems. He's probably right, but if Apple thinks it's important to use WPA3, I want WPA3. Why not use the lastest and highest level of security, y'know?

I'm having the same messages crop up. Who does one talk to? I'm trying to figure out if the "voice & data modem" from Xfinity supports WPA3. And if not, what one I can get and how to enable. It's been a number of years since I worked with a router directly. Because so many are working from home, I need to ensure I have the fastest speed plus make sure the signal reaches to the end of my 120' house.... Repeaters don't help.

Hello, @NikasHome, are you able to provide the make and model of your leased modem? This will make sure we are providing accurate support.
