Wired Printer Not Responding or Printing After Several Minutes

Ever since I upgraded to the newest router from Comcast, my HP1022nw printer either doesn't print or takes several minutes to respond.  It happens with both HP laptops in the home.  I have checked the printer settings in both the firmware and on Comcast's site with no success.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
