Windows network settings

I am having intermittent trouble with connection to the ethernet.  In investigating this, my WINDOWs 11 shows my NETWORK provider as "Plan 9 Network provider"

Anyone know what this is, or what it has to do with COMCAST?

The "Plan 9 Network Provider" isn’t related to Comcast—it’s part of Windows and can show up with certain apps or updates. It’s not harmful but not something Xfinity uses.

To fix the intermittent Ethernet issue:

  1. Check your Ethernet cable and try a different port or cable.
  2. Restart your modem and router.
  3. Look for "Plan 9 Network Provider" in your network settings. If you’re not using it, you can disable it.
