Will an xFi pod help with internet speed if I have 4 bars of wifi?

I have a 400 mbps plan. In most of the house I average 450 mbps. In my bedroom which is 1 room away from the xFi modem I average 10-20 mbps even though I have 4 bars of wifi. So my question is will a xFi pod improve my internet speed even though I have great wifi signal?

Pods are not really designed to increase speed. They are more so designed to increase WiFi signal range / reach.

To send a "Peer to peer" / "Private chat message" message to Xfinity Support:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/peer-to-peer-chat
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
  •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
  •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
