WiFi6E
Does the XB8 gateway along with extension pods support WiFi6E to create not an extender network, but an actual mesh network?

@Milton1302 -
Based on the Xfinity's Support Article their Press Release and this link https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/supersonic#explore the XB8 is WiFi 6E,
but I don't know about the xFi pods...

Consulting with a Comcast insider, it seems the Gen 2 pods are running a tri-band ac3000 wifi setup (wifi5) with a maximum backhaul capacity of 500 mbps. So no. The pods will not extend wifi 6 or 6E outside of the range of the gateway. However, they do indeed create a mesh network, not just a basic extension type.

To support Wifi 6E, the pods would need to support both WiFi 6 (AX) and 6GHz band.
Unfortunately, they support neither. They only support up to WiFi 5 (AC) and although they support triband, one band is 2.4GHz and two are 5GHz.
Each pod also features two gigabit ethernet ports and can plug directly into any electrical outlet
