WI-FI SPEED IS TERRIBLE?

used to be getting close to 300 megabytes 2 days ago and stopped and it's been terrible ever since? PAYING FOR 300 MB but I'm NOT getting it, ONLY 20-25? I spent over an hour with tech support they did all kind of testing and said something would get back to me an hour that was a day ago?

For a test, does a computer / device hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?


With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.

The cable from the wall is connected directly to the Wi-Fi router nothing in between I'm only a short distance from it nothing interfering with the signal This has got something to do with Comcast I used to get now and then 300 MB like I'm paying for it now I never do at best I get maybe a hundred and it's been like that for three weeks after talking to a tech on the phone for over an hour and then running every test imaginable then they said somebody would call me back in an hour and nobody ever did ☹️👎☹️👎

I find out that initially I was told a lie by a representative of this company that the price I was paying I would get 300 MB download and 25MB upload. NOW I'M INFORMED I CAN ONLY GET FOR THE SAME PRICE 100 DOWNLOAD AND 10 UPLOAD AND I'M STILL ONLY GETTING 50% OF THAT AND NOBODY EVER HELPS ☹️👎 ALL I WANT IS A PHONE CALL OR SOMEBODY COMING TO MY DOOR AND FIXING THIS PROBLEM OR CHARGE ME HALF OF WHAT I'M PAYING SINCE I'M ONLY GETTING HALF OF WHAT I'M PAYING FOR ☹️👎
