Wifi pro extender not working

New installed wifi pro extender not working. Power light goes off after a few minutes and does show up as activated in app. Did all the troubleshooting steps and still not activated. Could it be defective?

lpweb have you tried plugging the extender into multiple electrical outlets? If it won't stay powered on, then there's a chance there's a hardware issue.
