WiFi Printer not connecting to WiFi on new XFi router

Recently my Xfinity modem/router was replaced with the latest model, Model Name: Xfinity xFi Gateway (XB8-T).  They sent out a technician who came to the house and installed it.  Eveything seemed to check out however, later on realized that my HP X576dw Officejet Pro was no longer able to connect to the router wirelessly.  It connected and worked with the previous router.  I've read through other posts but still not working.

  • Printer and router in close proximity, the same room
  • Printer is up to date with all firmware and software updates
  • Power cycled both the printer and the router
  • Tried using the WPS button on the router
  • Tried entering the SSID and password manually
  • Printer is asking if MAC filtering is enabled, the router is whatever the default settings are at installation which I've read are disabled by default.
  • All my other devices have no WiFi connectivity issues including cameras, lights, computer, laptops, phones
  • What are the next steps to resolve this issue?

user_2554d5 Hello, I am sorry the printer is not connecting to the modem via WiFi. Do you know if the printer requires a specific chanel wether 2.4 or 5 ghz?

Looks like that printer has an ethernet port on it.  It's in the same room with the router so I'd just get an ethernet cable and wire it.  1000x easier than getting an old printer to play nice with an XB8.  A quick Google search says that printer came out in 2013.  XB8s tend to have problems with older 2.4GHz only devices.
