Wifi Pods

Strange incident - I plugged my newly acquired pod over my nightlight with sensor and now the nightlight comes on at the strangest times; almost like the nightlight is receiving signals (or getting interferance from the pod)

Can I plug my X1 wifi boost pod into a power strip or "power tower" instead of the wall?
