WiFi Now Keeps Disconnecting on Second Device

I am using Xfinity Wifi Now Hotspot for internet until I can get another job. I use it on my computer and phone. However, the phone keeps disconnecting from wifi at certain times of the day and night. When I try to reconnect, I get "connection failed" or "Cannot connect to IP."  Is this a typical occurrence? What's the point of offering two device connections if one of them is being throttled at certain times?

@ChocoBabiChan All Xfinity Gateway modems are capable of acting as a Wi-Fi Hotspots, So many are located in homes or businesses and device owner loses power or turns off their gateway modem for any reason you not have access to that access point until they turn the device back on. The hotspot can also be impacted if the location is experiencing service issues. If that device is unable to maintain a stable internet connection then the hotspot connection will be unstable as well. It will be up to the location account holder to contact us with any connection issues they may be experiencing to fix that for anyone connected to the hotspot. We do have over 22 million hotspots nationwide, there may be another close by to connect to, check here for those locations.

Hi, @ChocoBabiChan! Thanks for taking the time to visit XFINITY over forums for help with the Hotspot connection interruptions. I rely on my internet services for my job as well so I understand the inconvenience that this can cause. I am sorry to learn about this experience. We can help. Just to confirm, are you using the Now Wifi Pass to connect to the hot spot?

Thanks for clarifying, @ChocoBabiChan! Have you tried forgetting the Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspot network and reconnecting to it? We also recommend rebooting your device to make sure the connection is refreshed. Let us know if that helps.

I have tried both several times. I don't have this issue with any other wifi or hotspot. And now my PC is doing the same thing. Is there IP filtering or data throttling going on? On my phone, it works better if I change from randomized IP to MAC address IP. But it only helps me reconnect better. However the connection is still unstable at times and I still get errors.
