wi-fi network security...

I really don’t understand about using the wi-fi  network as by means of security. I have read to I have from changing my administrator name and password to changing the setting on my router’s firewall for security. How do I set my router so that only devices in my home can connect?

Hi MelodK913. Thanks for visiting and posting on our Forum! As long as you have a secure password on your home WiFi network, only devices with your network password can connect.

You do have Xfinity WiFi Home Hotspot as guest SSID broadcasting, but you can turn that off if you decide you want to opt out. Here's the directions to do that:

How to Turn Xfinity WiFi Home Hotspot On or Off Using Xfinity xFi or My Account

Please let us know if you need any further support.
