wifi is turned on in the Gateway; yet, does not broadcast
I have 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi turned on.
Neither are broadcasting.
I have used 2 devices to view the available wifi networks. Neither device sees the SSID (wifi name) on the list of available networks.
One of the devices I even brought within 5 feet of the Xfinity provided gateway. Still nothing.

Hello @KHJ45-- Thank you so much for your post for help with your WIFI signal not being broadcast. There is an option in the Xfi settings to hide the Wifi network I would recommend checking to make sure that option is not enabled. Next if not using a router connected to your modem you want to make sure Bridge mode is not enabled. Lastly, you can check the SSID on the bottom of the modem to see if you can see the default option broadcasting. If you locate the default network name the security key/password should also be on the bottom you can use it to log in and then update your network information using the Xfinity app. Let me know if that helps!

@KHJ45--
Have you first tried power-cycling / re-starting the device by unplugging it for a minute ? Still no joy ? Try hard resetting the device to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear (or use the WPS button if it doesn't have a reset button hole) for 30 seconds. This can sometimes clear up some weird behavior issues. You will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch if you do the latter.
Good luck !
