WiFi gateway flashing yellow light

I’m a new user who signed up today, but I can’t get the blinking yellow light to stop after plugging it in and connecting to either one of my two coaxial outlets. 

We have never used this xfinity tv or internet at this address, so I’m not completely sure the cable signal is coming into the house. Is there a way to troubleshoot that? Is there anything else o should be doing to make this work?

The other end of the line may not be connected to the live Comcast feed.  You may need a tech out to connect your premises to the active Comcast feed at the tap on the pole or the pedestal. You won't be able to activate the service if your line is not connected to the system. Good luck !
