@user_c2be00,
There are a lot of things that impact WiFi service in a home. It literally could be any number of things that cause it to be slow. This could include the use of splitters that degrade the signal, where the modem is located in the home, or even what other electronic devices may be located next to the modem that causes interference. Your best bet to maximize your WiFi, is to directly connect to the wall outlet with the coax cable from the modem as to bypass any splitters, then ensure the modem is centrally located in your home. Finally, keeping your modem out on a counter or table away from other electronic devices can also help reduce interference and strengthen the WiFi signal. Remember, no ISP can guarantee WiFi speeds because of all this (and other) extenuating factors. However, you should be able to get your full speed if directly connected to the modem via an ethernet cord. When connecting a device via ethernet, ensure that you have changed the connection type within that device, so it does not default to a WiFi connection but actually uses that ethernet connection.
I also recommend checking your device and modem signals via the Xfinity app. You can test your Internet connect to your modem and to an individual device. This way you can tell if the issue lies in the signal coming to your home or if there is something impacting your individual device connection.
Finally, there are a lot of helpful documents from Comcast on how to improve your WiFi service, you should try checking those out so you can get the most out of your WiFi service.
