Wifi doesn’t work on mac book

The wifi is working on my phone and Apple TV but for some reason it doesn’t work on my mac book. It connects but no website loads and it always fails. Not sure why this is happening. I’m paying for 800 mbps but get about 180 on my Xbox ands wifi just seems to be slow.

Hey there, happy to help you out with this. Is there a specific error message you are receiving on your Mac book?

No. I can search the site and it pops up but as soon as I click to enter the site it just says safari is not connected to internet. It says this for chrome also.

Here's how to send a direct message (private message);

Click "Sign In" if necessary.

Click the "Direct Message" icon  in the upper right corner or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to send it.

See https://comca.st/3KQF8q9 for an example.

Yes it’s my wifi. I also forgot to mention it does not work at all on my girlfriends iPhone.
