wifi doesnt have valid ip configuration
i cannot for the life of me keep my wifi connected, ive spent so many hours trying to do as much as i can and here's what it says/is doing.
-keeps dropping off of network when I attempt to use the internet then says its an "unidentified network" even though it’s the same network.
-Wi-Fi : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.
-wifi doesn’t have valid ip configuration is the most prevalent
-An error occurred while releasing interface Wi-Fi : An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint.
-the default gateway is not available
I can connect to free xfinity wifi when I have mine disabled but when I turn my free xfinity wifi and it connects to that, it does the same thing where im connected but theres no internet. it connects to every other wifi fine, ive never had a problem like this.
This is what ive tried so far to fix it to no avail. Sometimes it will connect but itll only last a minute or 2 at longest before it kicks me back off.
- Ipconfig /release, netsh winsock reset, netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
- uninstalling and reinstalling drivers
- full network reset
-resetting the modem
-stopping and starting all network services like DHCP Client
-trying to give it a static ip
Suggestions ive taken
-I got a new router and the security mode was set to WPA3-Personal. I changed it to WPA2 and problem solved. Hope this helps.
-Change your router's network encryption. If the router is currently configured to use AES or TKIP encryption, those encryption types are known to cause problems with certain devices. changing network encryption to WPA2-PSK often resolves those issues.
-Change 2.4GHz wifi setting from g,n to b,g,n and it should do the trick for you
Here are the settings when it manages to connect
CONNECTED
