Wifi disabled
I disabled the wifi in 10.0.0.1 admin settings and when I tried to reenable it, it didn’t work. It said it was enabled yet the wifi wasn’t seen by any device. Shouldn’t I be able to enable/disable it like a switch whenever I please? Why did that happen? When I went into the xfinity store to explain what happened they said they were unable to help with modem settings and just had to give me a new one so I could start over. But why can’t I turn wifi on and off in that way?

Hello, @user_3v9w09
Are you referring to the public hotspot or Bridgemode? Customer can make the change themselves from their account. To make the change, the customer must use the primary or member's Xfinity ID. For more details, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/disable-xfinity-wifi-home-hotspot.
For customers who have recently power cycled or reset their Wireless Gateway, the Home Hotspot feature on/off setting may not be restored until one to two days after the device reset. If the customer has previously chosen to disable the Home Hotspot on their device via a call to customer support or via their account, that selection has been stored by Comcast and the setting on the device will be updated automatically within one to two days.
If this is an issue with Bridge Mode, see here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/wireless-gateway-enable-disable-bridge-mode to disable that feature and restore the modem's routing capability.
