WiFi cuts out intermittently, lights on modem go off

My wifi connection has been cutting out recently and I noticed when it does, the 2.4 and 5 ghz lights on my modem go out. I don't currently have the option of using ethernet so I don't know if that is interrupted or not. I've rebooted the gateway (as it seems to be the only thing the help line wants to do) but no changes. The unit is about 7 years old (and I think not the current model handed out). Wearing out? 

My gateway logs don't show much except a regular occrance of this about once and hour:

[Dhcpc][1867]: erouter0 T1 Expired, Enter Renew State 
2023/12/12 06:40:04 Notice 

Any advice is welcome

@guitarsean Thanks for taking the time to create a post. Sorry to hear that you are experiencing these random drops in connection. Have you completed the automated troubleshooting steps through the Xfinity app by chance? It will run diagnostics to see if there are any signal issues or correctable errors coming through.
