WiFi Connection issues with Vizio Smart TV

I am having trouble connecting to xFi (my home Xfinity router). Sometimes it will not connect and sometimes the connection just drops (TV says no network). I don't have this issue with other devices on the network so far.

However, here is what is strange. I can connect the same TV to my Comcast Business router (home office) and can stream without an issue.

Any clues why there is an issue with xFi router and not with Comcast Business router?

Help!

Make sure the 5ghz and 2.4 ghz bands are named differently.  Some devices will have issues connecting to the wifi if the bands are not separated.  All new comcast modems comes with the bands combined into 1 SSID.

@Johnb51 good point. Xfinity CSR said that the router finds the best connection automatically. I will give it a try. Thanks.

Welcome to our community forum, @user_240659! My whole household relies on my internet every day so it can be frustrating when you're having connection issues. Our xFi gateways come with band steering technology to make sure you're connected to the best network at any given time. I have a Vizio smart TV and it doesn't have any problem connecting to my modem with the bands combined. How far away from the modem is the TV? Is there anything between the TV and the modem that might be interfering with the signal? Please let me know if separating the bands helps or if we need to continue troubleshooting.
