wifi compatability

I'm considering purchasing a  new computer and the models I'm looking at have either Wifi 6 or Wifi7. Will my current xfinity router/modem (Gateway XB7) work with a new computer with WiFi6 or 7?

The XB7 uses WiFi 6, the XB8 extends to 6E. You would need an XB10 for WiFi 7;

user_0loj2a Thanks for reaching out to us here with your questions! The Xfinity XB7 gateway supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), allowing it to work with newer devices and provide faster, more efficient connections on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, but it does not support Wi-Fi 7, which operates on the newer 6 GHz band (Wi-Fi 6E/7). The newer XB8 model adds Wi-Fi 6E support for the 6 GHz band, but the XB7 is strictly Wi-Fi 6.
