Wifi channel selection.
I know I can't personally change my wifi channel on my gateway as it is automatically managed, but network scans show anywhere from 7 - 11 networks at any given time on my 2.4ghz channel 1. My scanner shows optimal channels as 3 or 6. I've read thru posts that it can be done from your end so please change the channel to either 3 or 6. Thanks

@user_ae1479 Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum for help with managing your Wifi Channels. For your WiFi channels, there are only two options. If you want a better range, use 2.4 GHz. If you need higher performance or speed, use the 5GHz band. The 5GHz band, which is the newer of the two, has the potential to cut through network clutter and interference to maximize network performance. With that, if you are using our Xfi-enabled gateways, and you don't see the 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi channel settings (i.e., WiFi Mode, Channel Selection, and Channel Mode), it means that these settings are being managed automatically to help optimize your home network and provide the best performance possible. For each of these channels if you are using your own modem you can manage the bandwidth channel that specific channel uses and select what channel has the least amount of traffic, but your Xfinity modem is designed to automatically make that change for you, and there is no option to manage that manually. We always provide the option for our customer to use their own modems if you do need to manage that option you will be able to use your own equipment. You can check here to see what modems we do support if you wanted to look more into that option. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/list-of-approved-cable-modems
