WiFi channel cannot be modified if you see a notification in the Admin Portal stating that WiFi channel settings (i.e., WiFi Mode, Security

I FIGURED IT OUT FINALLY! I KNOW HOW TO FIX IT AND CHANGE MY CHANNELS AGAIN! 
Step 1: Reset your router by holding the wps button on the back of your XB7 gateway for 30 seconds then let go and it should be blinking green.

2: Once you’ve reset your wifi, log back into your home WiFi network. (It will say “no internet”when you log back into your WiFi but it’s okay)Then on your phone go into google or safari and type in “10.0.0.1” then you should’ve been directed to the xfinity admin panel and once you’re there type in for the username: Admin and then for the Password: password .

3: You shouldve seen a black page load up telling you to setup a name and password for your xfinity wifi box. Once you’ve set that up go back and type in “10.0.0.1” into google or safari and type in the same thing, “Username: Admin and then for password it’s: password”.

4: A page will load up telling you that you will need to change your username and password for the xfinity admin panel. 


5: Once you’ve change your xfinity admin panel username and password you should be able to login into the xfinity admin panel and once you’re there, quickly change and save your WiFi channels to whatever you’d like and save them. Once you’ve saved them exit the page and activate your xfinity box with the xfinity app or you could text an agent on the xfinity app and tell them that you would like to activate your gateway and they’ll do it quickly and free.
