WiFi calls Failing after 3-7 min
Hi,
I'm experiencing a new round of wifi calls dropping after 3-7 min of talk time. Worked fine for 2 years and now calls are dropping. Multiple reboots of phones (iPhone 11, X) One on VZ, One on ATT. Reenabled wifi calling multiple times. Rebooted routers and modem. Nothing working. Connected directly to Xfinity gateway (eliminating Eero Mesh) and it still happens.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? iOS 14 update problem? We are on iOS14.2 (latest). I've done multiple hard resets on the phones as well as reset network settings on both. Still a problem.
Thoughts? I am going to have to get an actual copper land line because of this malarkey.

Hello, wondering if you've had any luck. Just this week switched to Internet only plan and surprise surprise mobile calls are dropping constantly. I had a call drop 5 times liast night. Never once had an issue until I switched. Infuriating.

We're having the same issue using wifi calling with our iPhones. It used to work fine but some months back it started dropping calls. I have Verizon cell carrier and Xfinity Internet. Facetime also drops using wifi with my phone and iPad. I've turned off wifi calling on my phone which eliminated the drops as a work-around.
I've gotten nowhere with Verizon or Xfinity support. Xfinity support sent an update to my router to fix the issue. It didn't change a thing. Also read on the Interweb that the 14.3 iOS update would fix the issue. It didn't help.

Having the same issue.
Wifi calls drop between 2-9 min on Wifi calling, with or without airplane mode. I have a weak signal, so that is not an option.
This started happening on my iPhone7 in December 2020 and continued on my upgraded iPhone XR which I thought would fix the issue. I had no issues prior to December 2020. My SIM has been replaced 3 times with many different configurations between VOLTE off/on and WiFi Assist with no improvements.
I have 5 other devices that do not use Verizon and they all work perfectly fine during Wifi Calling, two of them being an iPhone XR with AT&T.
Cell provider: Verizon
Model: XR, 14.3
ISP: Xfinity
Wifi: Ubiquity Enterprise, Mesh

OMG I've been having this EXACT same issue since October, 6 months ago! I thought I was going crazy. I've had 3 techs out, all 3 replaced wires, changed boosters, all this garbage that each one of them said the last guy did wrong. Nothing.
I am ALSO running an EERO Mesh Wifi. I've troubleshot the heck out of the variables - disconnected EERO, rebooted devices, rebooted my XB7 Router, all of it...no luck. Until...
I went to my Xfinity Store and traded in the XB7 for another one. Same problem. I was about to tell them to downgrade me since I had no issue prior to the XB7. I am still thinking EERO could be the problem at this point.
The guy there convinced to try yet another XB7 Decive (my third).
So far, 3 weeks in, IT IS WORKING. So it may be the physical XB7. Keep in mind, both my first AND SECOND were duds.
My only Caveat? I haven't reconnected my EERO yet. If I connect that and go back to the Wifi Calls dropping at 3-7 minutes, I know it's either my EERO or some capability between the XB7 and EERO, even though both Xfinity and EERO claim they are compatible.
Good luck all. I will update once i reconnect and let you know what the verdict is.
