Why is Cancellation So Hard

I'm simply trying to cancel my plan. It only showed two options for a call, so when I tried to reschedule the call, the website said it wasn't working. 

It won't even let me click through the schedule an in person appointment. I got an option to cancel through Xfinity Assistant, which sent me through the same loop.

This feels predatory and insane that it's this difficult to cancel.

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
