Why are wifi lights flashing if wifi is disabled?
I've disabled 2.4 and 5 GHz and opted out of the Xfinity wifi hotspot, but both lights keep flashing on my TG1682G modem. I want to ensure that it isn't transmitting. Page 30 of the manual states that if the lights are flashing, that indicates "computer activity". I assume that's referring to computers connected via wifi. Is that correct?

Do you still see the broadcasts / SSID's on a computer's *available networks list* ?

No. I only see ethernet-connected devices in the settings. However, when Comcast rolled out the Xfinity hotspot network, there was no consideration for folks that use Comcast for ethernet only and don't want to be exposed to wifi. I had to jump through hoops to turn it off, and discovered it was broadcasting again more than a few times. I'm wondering if that's what's going on, but I'm definitely not seeing any SSID broadcast, even the "xfinity" one.
