Why all of sudden our IP address is now changing all the time?

Why all of sudden is our ip address is changing daily and if not every few hours? This use to never happen and we would be assigned to an ip address that would be assigned to us for several month? How do we get this fix?

Yes. I am using my own modem and have been for the past 2 years. Never experienced this until just recently in the last couple of weeks.

woo_r10 Thanks for confirming that for me, Xfinity typically uses Dynamic IP addresses, meaning they change periodically. Several factors can cause your IP address to change, including Comcast's network management, infrastructure upgrades, or even simple device resets. Have you been noticing any intrent connection issues lately?

FWIW. This typically happens when maintenance, repairs, and/or upgrades are being performed on the system. If it continues to occur for a prolonged period of time, report it to their customer service.

Xfinity recently did "upgrades" in my neighborhood.  I have Internet thru Xfinity but YOUTUBE TV, since upgrades done I no longer get many local channels.  This doesn't seem fair, no answer from Xfinity, or should I say can't speak to a human. Really [Edited: Language]

When accessing local channels via YouTube TV, what error messages are occurring? If YouTube TV gives access to On-Demand content, is that still available for the affected channels?

hulu live tv  is never going to work as long as xfinity changes ip address all the time. Hulu live tv  requires you use your home network when you stream so its always going to not recognize it and either not work at all or give you stations that aren't local.  HULU needs to fix this. youtube tv has and runs in 2.5 or 5.
