When plug in Ethernet cable, disables wifi
I want to have a wired (ethernet) connection to one computer and have the rest of my family's computers connect to the internet via wifi. But, when i connect the ethernet cable to the modem the wifi network wont work. Any ideas? I just had to unplug the ethernet cable and restart the modem to get wifi back. Thanks

@user_3g4vu4 Thank you so much for reaching out for help with your hardwired connection and using Wi-Fi. Connecting devices directly to the modem may change the bridge mode. If it's in bridge mode, only one device will have internet connectivity. You may want to attempt to change your bridge modem using the steps found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/wireless-gateway-enable-disable-bridge-mode

Which model of modem? Is it a straight modem, a modem/WiFi router combo, or an xFinity gateway?
