What is the typical wireless internet speed for 1GB service home service?
I have a Netgear modem and Orbi router set-up capable of handling 1GB. My previous service was 800MB and I typically got about 550 - 600MB on a wireless connection speed test. I just upgraded to the 1GB service and even after rebooting my system, I have noticed no change in my wireless speed test results. My online account shows that my plan has indeed been changed to the 1GB. Curious what other 1GB customers are seeing for their typical wireless speeds when doing a wireless speed test.

It depends on your WiFi gear. What equipment are you using? I'm thinking model numbers here. Are you testing close to the router with an unobstructed line of sight between the router and client?
600 is about what I get using a WiFi 5 laptop with WiFi 6 access points on an 80 MHz wide channel with the laptop and an access point a few feet from each other. Both support 2 streams. Some WiFi routers and APs can support more than 2, but more than 2 is unusual for client devices. So if your Orbi or your computer are using WiFi 5 that's probably about max. The real advantage of a higher end router that supports 4+ streams is with multiple clients. You should be able to get a bit more using WiFi 6 equipment. It's also possible to go a lot faster if both ends are using a 160MHz wide channel. Both ends need to support it, and some devices don't. 160MHz wide mode may not be enabled by default. 160MHz mode or a 3 stream WiFi 6 or 6a connection should be able to hit 1Gb close to the router. That's about all I can say without knowing exactly what device is on both ends.
If you want to check to make sure your service is actually running at 1Gb I'd suggest plugging in a cable. WiFi is notorious for performance issues. Note that you'll only get about 950Mb on a speed test if you're using 1Gb ethernet due to protocol overhead.
