What is the procedure for replacing my XB6 Gateway with the new XB8

I was sent an XB8 Modem to replace my XB6. What is the procedure to do that. I hear there can be activation problems and touble with TV connections.

Hey there, once you receive the new device, you would follow the activation steps on the Xfinity App, and then return the old device either to a service center or a UPS store to avoid that unreturned equipment charge. Be sure to get a receipt with either method in the unlikely event something gets lost along the way.
