"We've increased your internet speeds" -> but it is actually slower now

I bought a new hitron coda56 modem that is supposed to get upload speeds of "up to 200Mbps" with my 1200Mbps service in San Jose, CA.

After spending ~50min on the chat app activating the modem I get 400-580Mbps download and 22-24Mbps upload speeds.  That's using wired Ethernet not WiFi.

The person on the chat said it would take 30-40 minutes to get the full speeds.  An hour later nothing has magically changed and my speeds are slower now than what I got with my old arris sb8200 from 2016.

Nearly 24hrs later and the speeds are more in line with expectations.  I wonder what changed?

speedtest.net: 860Mbps down, 236Mbps upload

speedof.me: 488Mbps down, 242Mbps upload

xfinity speed test: 459Mbps down, 170Mbps upload

Variability is to be expected but the main thing I was looking for was upload greater than 100Mbps.

Are you consistently getting robust/reliable modem performance (no dropouts of connection, reboot) from the Coda56 ?

And is the upload speed now consistently high as you noted above ?
