I'm very interested in hearing if a resolution was found.  I've been having similar issue with my Aruba VPN (hardware device) seemingly being blocked by Xfinity. It works for awhile then if my modem ends up having to be reset, I then experience my Aruba VPN connection getting dropped about every 5 mins.  It appears my modem needs to connect to a certain Xfinity server/cluster for my VPN to work reliably -- once that happens, I'm smooth sailing until the modem ends up having to be reset. However, there's no pattern of how to get connected to the 'right' server/cluster.

A few key points:

  • My Aruba VPN is connected via Ethernet to my router -- no Wi-Fi involved.
  • As others have similarly reported, when this is connected via an alternate ISP it works fine.
  • GlobalProtect VPN (software) has been working -- this is my backup, but it prevents being able to use my Cisco work phone, which requires connecting via the Aruba VPN device.

@bbunch67 Thanks for adding to the community. Have you tested the connection for the VPN directly to the modem, without the router? This is just to test and isolate where the trouble is. VPN's are fully supported by Xfinity.
