Verify that the Arris S34 supports next-gen (>200mbps) upload in my area

I would like to see if someone from Comcast can confirm that the new Arris S34 modem will work with the newer 200mbps upload speed. Right now I have a Hitron Coda 56 modem that is successfully getting this speed (with overprovisioning it's actually more like 340-350mbps), so I would think that the S34 should work equally well, but with this company you never know..... let me know, thanks.

... I am asking a Comcast rep here to look into it for any confirmation that it is definitely available ...

I don't think they're likely to give you a more definite answer. The most they'll be able to tell you is "it should work", as they don't have access to the long chain of systems involved in enabling what they are now calling "enhanced speed" devices. Really, the only way to confirm it will work is to try it.

Comcast/Xfinity decided long ago that it was much more profitable to wait to fix things until customers report that they are broken than to ensure all systems are working correctly at all times. It's regrettable, but that's our Comcast.

See the "All Compatible Devices" link near the bottom of https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices (at the moment it points to https://assets.xfinity.com/assets/dotcom/projects/cix-4997_compatible-devices/2024.09.18%20Full%20List%20of%20Compatible%20Devices.pdf, but this changes from time to time). The S34 is listed there as a "Next Gen" device, so it should work for you.

I realize that, but there are conflicting reports online from as recently as a month ago that people have had problems getting Comcast to provision it correctly (issues with boot files, billing codes, etc.) That is why I am asking a Comcast rep here to look into it for any confirmation that it is definitely available.
