Verify Device Compatibility

I have been paying for an xFi Gateway for about seven months now because my Arris S33 does not work with the mid split upgrade. I’m not very happy about it. I want to verify if the Netgear CM3000 will be compatible in my area.

Please don’t point me to the list of compatible devices on Xfinity, that list still shows the S33 as working in my area and I already know that it does not.

Before I spend $300 on the Netgear CM3000, can Xfinity please verify that it will work in ZIP Code 94550.

Hello @user_lt23fg6! Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our team on Forums. The compatible devices site has the most up to date information regarding compatible modems, and those devices are the same devices that we would show as compatible in our system. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Then Xfinity REALLY needs to come up with a better compatible devices list. I already KNOW the S33 does not/will not work in my area. It should not be appearing on my compatible devices list. How many people are buying their own modems based on the compatible devices list, only to have issues? The device list is pointless/counterproductive if it’s this inaccurate.

When visiting our compatible devices list are you clicking on the blue box(bottom right) that says "All Compatible Devices"(including next-generation speed tiers)? When you do, it shows you the list of specific Next generation-approved devices in the very first chart. The S33 is not on that list. The CM3000 is listed as an approved next-generation device on that chart. I hope this clarification makes the list more productive for you and forum members. We will continue to update this list as more devices become approved.
